glimaWest Presents:
Innovation: Why It Is Critical to the West Michigan Economy
Location:  Steelcase University (map).
Networking Time: 5:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Presentation: 6:30 p.m.

The businesses of West Michigan are starting to experience the full effect of globalization. Many of the competitive strengths of West Michigan have been minimized as a result of "flatteners". Our government bodies, educational institutions, our communities and the businesses of West Michigan need to re think their respective areas of focus to embrace and institutionalize the concept of Innovation. The time of "that is the way it has always been done" is over.

Richard Robbins lead this interactive session on Innovation, that will include:

  • Defining Innovation and its key components
  • Provide examples on how organizations can foster and promote Innovation
  • Show how enterprises can help fund Innovation efforts

Richard Robbins is a Development Executive at IBM dedicated to helping businesses of West Michigan and the Mid-West identify their core areas of Innovation and how to leverage their existing infrastructure to help fund and support their efforts.

This will be the next learning event in the glimaWest series on Use of the Internet for Relationship Management.
